These can be smaller projects, I am splitting them off into their own post.
No Sew Dresses - Froggy used a 12 inch diameter circle, and carefully cut holes for the head and arms, then belt it. No fray fabric like a T-Shirt works great.
Doll Cardigan Kimono - again, a Froggy video, from an old scarf. Uses the doll to determine the size, which is cool.
Tights or leggings make great stretchy tube dresses. Sew a back seam on a curve, again they do not fray.
Look at some of her Bathing Suit videos, good inspiration and could be extended to a dress.
Froggy has a lot of videos on making pants, shorts, and dresses for dolls.
Fun stuff, and expanding the wardrobe of the dolls, especially the CY girls who have 2 outfits is pretty crucial.

Thinking about dolls, what I want to do
I was... away.... from a lot of things, for a while. I had a pretty dark period there. I'm getting back into a lot of my hobbies, and I really want to spend more time on my dolls, and making things.
There are a LOT of things I want to buy. Monster High and Ever After High Dolls, Made to Move Barbies (I don't have any), more Obitsus, more different body types, Lammily makes great dolls and AMAZING ourfits, more furniture and clothes and.... but there is no money for that right now. I've also got a lot of debt.
So, appreciating what I have, and using the craft supplies that I have to make things. I have.... LOTS of ideas, and I really need to focus. So I am making a list, and I am going to try and focus on some projects, and get stuff done. I also have a bunch of things to make for family for the holidays, so much of this is not likely to kick off until January anyway.

Projects:
Fix wigs - DONE!!!
- Eliza and Emily have hard-cap wigs now, and their hair doesn't fall off. So happy!
Modern Furniture Project - STARTED
- Make pallets for pallet furniture (3 full, 2 half made) - I don't have Jumbo craft sticks, just regular popsicle sticks, but I can do this, 16 sticks for one pallet, 17 for two half pallets.
- Make a poof from old socks.
- Make a full mattress - NEARLY DONE
- Make a twin mattress
- Make bedding
- Make a couch
- Make a chair
- Make a dresser
- Make bookshelves and storage (felt bins 2 in by 2 in)
Modern Living Spaces Projects
- Make a camper
- Make a "tiny" home
- Make a townhouse/apartment 2 stories and set up so that the occupant can change. Roof garden
- Make an apartment for Emily and Eliza?
- Make Room in a Box projects, they are great
- Make Tiana's Place restaurant (cause it is neat)
- Make a beach house or cabin
- Make a generic store or shop that can have wall posters, stock, and front sign changed up
Fantasy/Castle/Magic Project -
- Make castle walls and garden
- Make one or two interior rooms with cool windows
- Make a table and chairs or benches, possibly from twigs or paper tubes
- Make a "wizard" trunk (Harry Potter, yay MyFroggyStuff) with cauldron and potion bottles
- Make books and parchment
- Make robes and a wizard hat
- Make Hogwarts House Scarves (why not?)
- Make a treehouse
- Make a forest glen with fairies and such
Science Fiction Project -
- Blaster guns?
- Make uniforms, or futuristic clothes!
- Make Jedi robes
- Make Lightsabers or other force weapons
- Make a bunk/cabin/living space
- Make sliding doors (cause required, lol)
- Make hallways for larger ship
- Make a cockpit/bridge
- Make small shuttlecraft
- Make aliens and alien plants
- Make alien planet terrain
CLOTHES -
I really want to expand the wardrobes, and I think I should just rewatch a lot of MyFroggyStuff and use the ideas to sew for my dolls. My CY Girls are larger, and don't have enough clothes, and Monster High and Ken and even regular Barbies are low on certain things.Characters and customs -
- Give the old GI Joe knock off dreds, and a pirate outfit
- Finish the reroot of an old Belle doll
- Make Elves! I have 5 NoxDeRume elf heads
- Find bodies for 2 heads I bought with custom face ups

Back to Doll Stuff FOR REAL!
And wow, the draft post was from September 2016! Let me fix that....
So I am back at the hobby. I had a real mess in my real life, and now that it is cleared up, I am back at it with dolls.
I've had Strawberry Shortcakes since I was 5 or 6, though I don't have my original childhood dolls. I donated them at some point, but when I was at a toy show a few years ago I bought more for nostalgia's sake. One thing i did keep from my childhood dolls were the clothes and accessories that my mother made.
I've been wanting to display them with some strawberry Rements I have, but didn't have quite the right place.
And now I have the PERFECT place! It is a 2003 set, missing nearly all the accessories, but it will be a great place to display my dolls, and only $3 at Goodwill.
Yay, strawberry house!

Doll things do happen around here!
Though not often. Due to life getting crazy and buy and stressful, well I haven't been doing as much with my dolls as I wanted to. That and the more realistic ones kinda freak out my boyfriend.
But there is good news - Monster High is apparently less freaky than Barbies! Who knew?
So now, I have my whole monster collection out. I've had a couple of doll friends have a rough time of it lately - hopefully pics are fun and bring a little joy. I know looking over at them makes me smile.
I've been working on an fun project with the Kiddo in my life, inspired by the always fabsome My Froggy Stuff. I hope to show it off soon!

Week 2 and 3 of the photo challenges
It took me a while to be able to get pictures, and these ones are inside and my makeshift diorama walls are not tall enough to block the view of my real walls! But I have fun with these, and really wanted to share.
Week 2 - This is What I Do For Work -

Somehow, this guy looks like a smarmy antiques dealer.

Power Team guy tries to drum up sales from my Esmerelda doll, she currently goes by Nadya. And she has no shoes that fit her, so she stands behind things. I think it lends some depth.

Perhaps this lovely shawl? Kiddo assisted in setting up the shop, and then gleefully "bought" everything with his stuffed rabbit, and shoved it in a bin.
Job number 2 is more exotic

She's a rock star! With a tiny guitar!

This is a Barbie head, from a recent set with a rock and roll theme, on a body that was originally Eowyn, or some other Lord of the Rings woman, I think. Arwen maybe? Anyway, I bought her body used. It is more mobile that the one the head came with. All the clothes fit except the silver boots, so she is rocking out in Ken sneakers. Probably better for her feet anyway.

Fun with effects! I like the drama.
Week 3 - My Knight in Shining Armor

Pizza's Ready!

You're the best Eliza! I can barely move.

Can Komodo have some?
I have learned that the lizard is Komodo from a show called Secret Saturdays. I found him in the discount toy bin years ago and felt he needed a good home. Clearly he has one. Pizza is good for lizards, right?

Photo Inspiration : Week 1
Long time no blog! I have a solution though - a doll board I belong to is having weekly themed photo posts. No contest, just a chance to get photos of your dolls and share. So I am!
This week's theme was "My Human and I" and has resulted in a bunch of photos of dolls with pets, babies, and even a 1:1 scale cat!
I grabbed some of my gang, and brought them into work to shoot, because I never seem to be able to manage this on weekends, the only time I am home during daylight!
As a result, the set is minimal, fabric for walls! But I like the photos.

This little one is bringing Bear with her in the traditional position... She is a cheapie knockoff, but she has charm.

Playing with the Farscape props from my action figures. Under scale for 1/6, but not bad given that birds, perches, and robots can be any size. Power Team guy's outfit seemed like something John would wear on the show.

Fun with reflections!

Eliza's friend is allergic, so she is visiting the lizard. Eliza has the first wig I made, and while I love the color, it is rather large and seems to big for her head...

The lizard thinks her boots are stylin'! Her whole outfit is Liv (edit : except the coat of unknown origins), she's got a Liv body and a found at Goodwill Disney Sleeping Beauty head.

Shy blue haired girl needs a name. But she has a lizard! She's allergic to fur. Her wig was made by me, I adore the colors.

The dress is Liv, so is the scarf, from different sets. Lizard is protective...

Shoes are random Barbie Ballet slippers, I think they are Barbie, they are the only ones that fit Pullip feet. Her head is a Marone Obitsu and faceup is by the previous owner, Pandor.

Yet another doll that needs a name. This is the Volks Who's That Girl, with the cute side-glancing eyes. I got her and a ton of oddly matched clothes in the big sale when Volks cancelled the line. The purse is amazing.

Kitty's face does not photograph well, due to the white paint. This is a Little's Pet Shop cat from back when the toys debuted. Note the lack of oversized eyes!

Awwww!

She is rockin' the hat. I think she owns it now. I just need to get up the courage to trim her hair - knee length is a bit much. Then, a name....
So, there are a few of my gang, needing names and characters and all, but I had so much fun actually getting photos for once! I am loving this idea of a weekly photo inspiration.
Edited on 3/24/2016, just typos.

Legos!
My other big love in toys is Lego. I love building, I love the minifigs... and I love my winter holiday village. I don't buy every set, but I have long wanted the Toy Shop (I missed it in the original release and the secondary market prices were nearly TRIPLE that it originally cost).
Lego has rereleased it, and one is on its way to me, along with the limited holiday set, a Christmas Train!
